New Zealand abalone shells – known as pāua in NZ – are shaped and formed by the rugged New Zealand coastline. Each wild pāua shell reflects the vibrant hues of their surroundings. Layer by layer the abalone acquires its lustre, colour and radiance from the varied waters they breathe in.
