Rimu veneer is a highly engineered product made from the native New Zealand Rimu tree. It's around three times the price of solid Rimu because of the skill and precision required to produce it. Many of our wooden gifts use this beautiful, premium material.

We charge a simple flat rate for NZ delivery — no surprises at checkout.

International shipping rates vary depending on the weight or volumetric weight of your order — you'll see the exact rate calculated at checkout before you confirm your purchase. Our prices are GST-inclusive for NZ customers, but overseas orders are GST-exempt. (Not all online shops offer GST-exempt orders).

Yes! Our home-based gift shop is located at 36 Queens Parade, Devonport, Auckland — a beautiful historic seaside village just a short 12 minute ferry ride from downtown Auckland, overlooking the Waitematā Harbour. We'd love to welcome you in person.

We're generally open Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm. And flexible hours in the weekend, as long as we are home. As we're a home-based business, we're also happy to arrange after-hours or weekend visits — just get in touch first so we can set a convenient day and time for you.

Absolutely — local pick-up is available. Because we're a home-based business, please email or call us in advance to arrange a suitable time. We're flexible and happy to accommodate evenings and weekends.

One of our customers requested to pick up a commissioned waka hoe (paddle) at 6am. Not a problem!

Devonport is easily reached by ferry from the Auckland CBD. The trip takes about 12 minutes and runs regularly throughout the day — it's a lovely way to arrive and explore the village after visiting our shop. Or you can drive to our place by car.
