Maori design bone carvings... Our Aotearoa.co.nz site started with 12 bone carvings in 1997. Our bone carver Joe has created a variety of Maori design carvings. We feature different NZ bone carvings: fishhook bone carvings, koru carvings, manaia carvings, patu carvings and sea carvings to name a few. The fishhook represents good luck, good health, peace, prosperity. Also safe travel, especially over water. Joe retired quite a few years ago.
