Monotype prints of flax flowers
These monotype prints are created with harakeke (NZ flax). Harakeke, or New Zealand flax (Phormium tenax), is an indigenous, swamp-loving plant with long, sword-shaped leaves. Harakeke is traditionally used by Māori for their beautiful Raranga (basket and mat weaving) and for kākahu (Māori clothing, like cloaks).Unique one-off prints.

Monotype prints made with a gel plate, brayer, acrylic paint and the harakeke flower.
