More information about the Māori waka

The Medium Waka (410mm) and Small Waka (230mm) are both meticulously hand-carved from Genesis Kauri, stained a deep, rich brown to highlight the natural grain. Their prows and sterns are adorned with intricate Kauri filigree and shimmering paua shell inlays, capturing the artistry of Māori design.  Six small paddles are attached to the medium waka.

Each waka features a removable stern post for safe packaging and display, and comes with a sturdy stand and robust mailing tube for easy gifting or shipping .
