We love gannets too... one of our favourite birds...A box of birds just flew in one day, including the gannets. Another great design by Ian Blackwell. We love gannets and it is always a joy to visite the Muriwai gannet colony in West Auckland. Only a one hour drive from Auckland city. You can easily spend a few hours here and see the gannets from different vantage points. And it's only a short walk from the car park. It's so wonderful to see these birds so close.
Muriwai is also a very popular surf beach.
