Meaning Māori twisted ring

The Twist comprises a seamless ring twister to form two or more adjoining circles. The ring itself is said to represent the circle of life which has no beginning or end, is endless and as such is regarded as the symbol of eternity. The single twist represents the joining together of two individuals for eternity.

Though they may move away from one another on their own journeys, they always come together again sharing their lives and blending to become one. It signifies how the bonds of friendship, loyalty and love between a couple will last forever. The double and triple twists have a similar meaning but refer to the joining of the two peoples or cultures rather than individuals.

New Zealand native Rimu

The majestic rimu can be found throughout New Zealand. Mature specimens grow to a height of over 60 metres (200 feet) and up to 1000 years of age. Heart rimu with a red/brown grain is one of the most beautifully figured woods in the world. A growing scarcity, fuelled by felling bans and ravenous demand has made rimu a highly sought after and priced decorative timber.
