Ngāi Tahu greenstone pendants. Ngāi Tahu are the indigenous Maori people of the South Island of New Zealand.

They are the kaitiaki (guardians) of New Zealand greenstone. The Maori name for greenstone is ‘pounamu’. NZ greenstone is only found in Te Waipounamu (South Island of New Zealand).
