Maori korowai – Maori cloak created from faux fur.
Full length Adult Maori Korowai. Made from faux-fur with rooster feather trim at top.
From our artist: Extremely popular korowai sold to lots of very satisfied customers – they can’t believe the price of our korowai when they see the quality. Most people expect that these would be selling for over $1000! These cloaks are used for all sorts of ceremonies (graduations, weddings, tangi, unveilings, birthdays etc) as well as for Kapa Haka performances.
Draw string cord means that your cloak can be brought in or out to fit different size adults – “one size fits all”. Fully lined with faux suede and washable.
Please note that we list these beautiful cloaks as ‘korowai’. In the early days, a korowai would be hand woven and take nearly a year to complete. A handwoven korowai is quite expensive and you will be looking at a few thousand dollars.
The cloaks we feature are made from faux fur. All the cloaks are lined with faux suede.
