From our artist: Extremely popular cloak sold to lots of very satisfied customers – they can’t believe the price of our cloaks when they see the quality. Most people expect that these would be selling for over $1000! These cloaks are used for all sorts of ceremonies (graduations, weddings, tangi, unveilings, birthdays etc) as well as for Kapa Haka performances.
Draw string cord means that your cloak can be brought in or out to fit different size adults – “one size fits all”. Fully lined with faux suede and washable. So if you are looking for an affordable cloak, you just found one.
A korowai is a traditional Maori cloak. In the early days, a korowai would be hand woven and take nearly a year to complete. A handwoven korowai is quite expensive and you will be looking at a few thousand dollars.
Contemporary feather cloaks are also quite popular.
Faux fur cloaks
The faux fur cloaks we feature are lined with faux suede. Very comfortable to wear. And being able to adjust the strings makes the cloak suitable for all shapes and sizes.

Feathers used have been imported into New Zealand after disinfectant treatment, fumigated and cleared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. As New Zealand’s import restrictions are the strictest in the world this product can be safely sent or taken into any other country in the world.
