DECEMBER 2005

Summer is here... My parents and youngest brother Erik had a wonderful stay (6 weeks) in New Zealand. We did the wild thing with Cave Rider, very enjoyable. Visited the Bay of Islands, Waipoua Forest, stayed in a bach at Kawau Island, explored the Coromandel Peninsula, and visited dad's friend (from his hometown Ezinge) in Wellington for a few days. We visited the Te Papa museum while we where there. Excellent museum!

Hope your Xmas was great!

And wishing you a happy & healthy 2006.

We wish to thank Denise for looking after our business while we were away, organising payments and shipping and much more! She did a wonderful job, going the extra mile for our clients and for us. Thank you!!!

And our first BBQ the next day at Beachhaven Point. It was such a nice day!!!

A bit of catching up to do (mainly paperwork) and doing quite a bit of webdesign (updates and re-vamping a site) for our webdesign clients.

On a sad note, we've all seen the total devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina in and around New Orleans. Please donate through the NZ Red Cross, or with the Red Cross or other organisations in your country to help. American Red Cross.

AUGUST 2005
Our 'long weekend' is in full swing. Still, it's business as usual.

Also rural business :-) Two nights ago we woke up by the sound of a cow that seemed to be in distress. Here's the result:

ANZAC DAY in New Zealand is held on 25 April each year to commemorate New Zealanders killed in war and to honour returned servicemen and women.

Poppy Day is held on the Friday before Anzac Day. The proceeds from the poppies go to the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services’ Association (RSA) to support returned servicemen and women and their dependents.

The red poppy – or Flanders poppy – is an international symbol of remembrance for those killed on the battlefield.
