Andrew owned a gift shop for 10 years. He styled the store towards New Zealand handcrafted giftware and souvenirs. He received several top shop awards, but was looking for a change and new challenge.

Andrew sold a range of paua resin products through the store, made by a gentleman who was looking at retiring (after spending most of his life in the souvenir manufacturing industry).

After showing an interest to learn his trade, Andrew started visiting his workshop twice a week for several years. Sold the shop and after initially making his product lines, Andrew then introduced his own lines and has slowly developed from there.

Andrew is very appreciative of that opportunity and that all his knowledge had not retired with him. You can never stop learning and am always looking to improve.

Andrew Mee thoroughly enjoys re-cycling native New Zealand wood into beautiful hand crafted boxes and frames. The finish of the beautiful handcrafted artworks is top class.
